Fear is a measurable metric in crypto and it is something that we don't talk about very often. I think new entrants into the scene need to understand that having this fear is only natural and there's a positive way to apply it.
The market is in yet another slump for the same old reasons. However, there's also the fact that this is the weekend and most speculators/traders want to take out profit to buy booze.
When I got into the game, nobody told me about the fear that is to come. I mean, I saw all the disclaimers and earnings about risk but there wasn't anything relating to this type of fear.
Over the years, I had to learn it myself and then develop a personal solution for myself. Personal because we're all unique in this place, thus having different requirements and targets.
Stack the fear away
I like the numbers game, and rightly so because crypto is a numbers game. The drop in prices will kick you in the stomach but stacking more sats increases your chance of recovery.
It's not that difficult to understand. If you had 100 coins and their value drops from $1.2 to $1, you experienced a $20 loss in value. The solution for me and this is my unique position mind you, is to stack 20 more of the coins to offset that drop.
Obviously, it is not a full-proof plan but I'm only human and I have to work with what I have. I don't have a means of employment outside of crypto, so that means the only thing I can do is work here.
This plan is obviously not a perfect one, especially because I will have to be super busy all the time. However, I relish the challenge and like the fact that I have to always be on my toes, working to make more of my situation.
This plan also hinges on the fact that while crypto is my source of income and 99.8% of my money is in fact in crypto but it's also the money I'm "okay" with losing. I mean, that's just based on the rule of thumb of crypto investment, and not that it can get that bad anyway, since I'm a long-term hodler for most projects I'm invested in.
So if you're feeling down and gloomy about the market, you can do what I do; stack sats. It's not a perfect plan and doesn't necessarily mean that you'll get back the dollar value you've lost in a slump but at least you got more coins.
Besides, the point of this isn't to always go back to the dollar, it is about mainstream adoption and taking us to a point where cryptocurrencies will have maximum acceptance. When that day comes, I might even be able to use my assets as leverage to relocate to s nice country that isn't trying to kill me.
I know, it's wishful thinking but what's the point of dreaming of you don't dream big. Stack sats, keep your head up and stay strong in the midst of the fear.
