Don't miss opportunities because of fear

If you've ever used a central exchange, you'll have seen the message "trading crypto is very risky, apply caution" or something similar. In the crypto market, fear and greed are measurable metrics.

Fear and greed are determined by evaluating factors that include volatility, momentum, social media activities, survey, dominance, and trends. The metric is used to gain insight into the general persuasion of the market and also to predict the next leg of the market.

As a rule of thumb, times of fear mean people are dumping and times of greed mean people are accumulating or holding for a bigger profit. Fear also depicts a time when there are many "young investors" or plebs reacting to some FUD machine, like China's ban of Bitcoin for the umpteenth time.

Every crypto trader and investor has to have some level of fear. In fact, it is healthy to have some level of fear because if you don't, you're probably stupid or naive. However, too much of everything is bad.

As my rule of thumb, I never let fear be at the forefront of my decision-making because it isn't a very good judge of circumstances. I apply what I like to call cautious optimism because I think it is a balance of both.

I focus my attention on investing in projects with a solid structure and hope for the future. However, I'm not deluded, and I'm aware of the potential risks, so I keep my eyes peeled for danger.

Fear blinds you

If you put fear in front of you, you're going to be scared. I mean, that's one of the most straightforward statements I've made in my life but it actually summarises the entire point.

Fear in terms of trading pretty much sums up the market these days. A lot of plebs got into the market with the hope of scalping fast profit from the bull market but Elon and China had other ideas, now they're either trapped in trades or selling at a loss.

This will naturally deter them from trying again and "buying the dip". This will inevitably lead to some level of apathy towards crypto and add to the brewing fear in the atmosphere.

Buying the dip

I've been buying the dip to the best of my abilities, and my main focus has been Leo token. I believe in this project because I know how big it can be and I know it has immense future potential.

Things have slowed down a bit for now but it is only for a while. I believe that as time goes on, we will see more growth, and those who held and/or bought the dip will reap a dividend because of that track record.

Conclusion

The point is, don't let fear guide you because it blinds you from potential opportunities. Fear makes you paranoid and in the process, prevents you from seeing other opportunities that exist in the market.

Buy the fucking dip, but if you can't hold on. If you can't hold because you know deep down you invested in a shitcoin that will never moon, cut your losses and move to somewhere else.
