Some months ago while wandering the good old web2 I stumbled upon some interesting articles about the "Cambrian Explosion" of crypto, both currency and NFTs, but none of them considered the obvious Mass Extinction Event that would follow (and oh, it will!) - so I started thinking about how the long-term scenario will shape up. And now the day has come.

I won't explain what the Cambrian Explosion is (Wikipedia is your friend), but I will focus on the parallel / metaphor with the crypto world instead. It doesn't take a genius to see the correlation: we have so many blockchains, tokens, protocols, services, DAO's, etc... that it's outright beyond human capabilities to keep track of the new kid in town by now, but what's sure is that 99% of them will sublimate overnight. 

And that is happening RIGHT NOW.
