Art has been around for generations and people are attached to it by heart. Renowned painters and sculptors like Pablo Picasso, create amazing masterpieces and the population has no chance of resisting their beauty and attractions.

As it happens, while the crypto universe advanced, one of its sections called NFTs targeted mostly artistic pieces, and it became quite famous, to the point that many artists decided to turn their creations into smart contracted NFTs. Yet, I myself, was never a fan of this approach.

Let me explain it with a simple example. In a capitalist world (which is not a bad thing) Art collectors buy artworks from auctions, which sometimes have unbelievable prices, and brag about them as they’re hanging them inside their mansions. But they can brag about an empty space. Some say that it is not like that and you don’t understand the concept, but actually, I do. It is right that NFTs don’t mean not having the actual art, but the path was leading toward that point and unless we all live in a virtual reality, that was the result.

Anyway, whether I’m a fan of NFTs or not, it doesn’t matter that much, because I actually believe crypto can revolutionize the art universe in plenty of cool ways and it doesn’t have to be just one aspect. Don’t make it too complicated, because the fact that digital money is transforming traditional financial systems is wondrous enough. So, if you look closely, Bitcoin and its minions have much potential to help benefit artists, creators, and fans alike.

Remember how social media connected us, it was fantastic. At the same time, people started websites, blogs, pages, etc. to sell their products. Everybody was advertising themselves online and showcasing their products, therefore, establishing conversations, and improving communications, and yet, the money they exchanged was still old-fashioned.

If we believe that digital money has plenty of pluses over $, it is only logical that we switch gears.

But people are still not converse and if I’m being blunt, they even think the opposite. And it is not like those backing paper money, stand by and do nothing. Just look at the ugly rumors about Bitcoin being harmful to the environment, or being used for terrorism, Russia’s attack on Ukraine, etc. are all the fruit of that evil plan.

Let’s stop pretending that substituting cash with BTC is an easy task and try harder. Educate people, simplify crypto-related technology, and find innovative ways to improve people’s access to this still-isolated universe.
