British actor David Prowse, known primarily from the Star Wars series and his cult role of Darth Vader, one of the most recognizable antagonists in the history of cinematography, died at the age of 85.

Hollywood Reporter reports very sad news - David Prowse is dead. The famous actor of English descent left this world at the age of 85, as reported by the agent of the deceased star via Twitter.  

Prowse became recognizable mainly for the memorable role of Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy.

It is true that he only lent him a body, not a voice (James Earl Jones spoke in a wheezing style), but we do not need to say that his on-screen appearance has always aroused respect and terror.
