It's probably the first time my interest in crypto and my love of industrial music has intersected: one of my longtime favorite industrial artists, Celldweller, announced this week on Twitter that he has teamed up with Unioverse ("a new video game franchise from the creators of Grand Theft Auto & Crackdown, & the writers of Star Wars & Halo") to offer a chance to win five free 3D "Reyu" heroes to be used in gameplay in future Unioverse games.
Entering the giveaway is easy - simply retweet the above announcement tweet from Celldweller's account, and follow both Celldweller and Unioverse on Twitter.
To me - as a longtime fan - the collaboration feels natural. Over the years, Celldweller (and other artists on his label) have had many songs featured prominently in movie soundtracks, TV series, and video games. However, all of the responses on Twitter to this announcement were not positive, with some fans pointing out the recent failures in crypto collaborations from other musicians.
For more information:
Celldweller's fifth studio album, "Satellites," was released in October 2022, and is distributed by FiXT Music.
Unioverse describes itself as a "gigantic, community-owned franchise," utilizing game developers and sci-fi storytellers from around the world.
