Native to Southeast Asia, this flower has a unique shape that resembles a parrot and features vibrant colors.

It is a protected species and resembles a parrot quite vividly. This flower can not be exported from the country so this is a rare opportunity to see such an amazing sight.

The seeds of the Parrot Flower were discovered in South Southeast Asia in 1899 by British botanist Joseph Dalton Hooker, who initially thought it was a hoax and its flowers were first seen in 1900. These flowers are known to grow in clusters in small areas in Thailand, Burma, and Northeast India, cultivation attempts often fail. When viewed from the side, they look like parrots.

The parrot flower (Impatiens psittanica) is a species of balsam that resembles a parrot or cockatoo in flight. It has a purple body and a red edge shaped like a parrot's head. The exportation of the parrot flower has been banned by the government of Thailand because it is very rare.
