In the past few years, this term re-emerged as "metaverse" and attracted many international market giants such as Minecraft, Roblox, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft, etc. These companies are actively participating in the implementation and construction of metaverse to appropriate this idea into tech. zkTube is one of the companies committed to creating a virtual digital world independent of the real world.

Metaverse is a combination of meta and universe which can be defined as the man-made mapping of the real world. • Each piece of the land has its corresponding file to describe its content based on IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) storage. zkTube using a decentralized storage system (on the content layer), will distribute content required to render the virtual world.

The Development Issue of Metaverse Field

1- Scalability 

Scalability is the biggest issue in the large-scale application of blockchain. The meta-universe concept is a new trend, and without scalability, the system's throughput will not increase. 

With the increased user demand, the Layer-1 network will not be able to cope with the situation as it can process about 15 transactions per second.

The metaverse built on zkTube will create a wider group of people, blurring the boundaries between the real and virtual world. zkTube claims to reach 3000+ transactions per second. 

2- Cost

In the Ethereum network, the transaction and execution of smart contracts require gas (fuel) that depends on the complexity. The more complex logic a transaction contains, the more amount of gas it will need. The fixed value is 2100, and for DeFi applications, it can reach up to 100,000. In case of network congestion, it can be as high as 1000Gwei or as low as 1Gwei. 

On the contrary, in zkTube, the transmission between the off-chain only costs 300 to 500 gas. zkTube using ZK-Rollups reduces a gas fee, providing a significantly enhanced user experience while saving a lot of costs. 

3- Security

The security of user's assets and information is fundamental, and users are always highly concerned about it. 

zkTube guarantees mainnet level security. Transactions are sent to Layer 1 in aggregated form for unified verification, which improves the transaction processing speed of the network and ensures safety. 

4- Ease of Access

Users have to go through a cumbersome process to complete transactions. 

zkTube supports transactions between Layer 1 & Layer 2. zkTube has simplified the burdensome process by enabling users to collect funds without creating a wallet. Ordinary users can also enjoy an enhanced user-friendly experience. 

The Bottom Line

zkTube is gaining a lot of attention for its virtual universe. Relying on the underlying technology of the zkTube blockchain, we can expect that zkTube will try to explore more for zkTube's development. 

At present, zkTube has some shortcomings, such as the limitation of high concurrent processing performance, but still, it is better than many blockchain networks out there. It has achieved remarkable results in the current blockchain network. zkTube may be considered a pioneer of the human virtual world in the future.
