The Reign of the Beast
An Essay on Domination, Illusion, and Spiritual Resistance
By an awakened observer

Prefatory Note: This essay is an attempt to understand the world beyond appearances, to name the symbolic forces that shape our era, and to propose paths of inner discernment and conscious resistance. May it serve as a seed for reflection — and perhaps even for awakening.

The Beast from the Sea and the Masked Ideology: An Apocalyptic Reading of World Order
We live in times of great spiritual and symbolic upheaval, where the lines between truth and falsehood, freedom and domination, progress and decay grow increasingly blurred. In light of Revelation 13, the hypothesis arises that the present global scenario may not merely be heading toward the reign of the Beast — but already living under it.

The apocalyptic narrative speaks of two beasts: one rising from the sea, symbolizing political-military power with global reach; the other emerging from the earth, representing a legitimizing ideology — a symbolic system that appears harmless, but speaks like a dragon. The “beast from the earth” does not repress by force, but by seduction: it offers peace, consumption, freedoms, and rights… at the cost of spiritual truth and the deep identity of the human being.

Within this framework, the United States emerges as an archetype of the Beast from the Sea — a superpower that, through soft power and financial, cultural, and military structures, exerts dominance over much of the planet. This is not about demonizing a people, but about understanding the symbolic logic that drives the system — a system that turns everything into gold, while life itself loses its shine.

Meanwhile, the ideology sustaining this empire shifts its wardrobe. Nazism, as a totalitarian control experiment, was abandoned when it became too dangerous and uncontrollable. Marxism, on the other hand, was preserved and reformulated — finding, in certain contexts, fertile ground to merge with other radical forms of thought, including distorted expressions of spirituality, such as in some Islamist terrorist movements.

What we witness is the operation of symbolic forces staging a global theater, masked as liberation, progress, or order. But when examined closely, they reveal a structure that demands conformity and passivity. A domination that is enforced not so much by power, but through narrative.

To call this the “reign of the beast” is not merely a religious metaphor — it is a way to denounce a system in which the human soul is traded for comfort and illusion. It is a call for spiritual, intellectual, and symbolic vigilance so that we are not complicit in our own enslavement.

Forms of Resistance:

Think, Choose, Preserve
If this system bears the symbolic marks of the “beast,” then resistance begins on three fronts:

Critical thinking:

Reject the single narrative. Be wary of propaganda disguised as entertainment or liberation. Studying history, symbolism, spirituality, and philosophy becomes a revolutionary act.

Inner freedom of choice:

The system feeds on predictability. When a human being reclaims their free will, becoming unpredictable, they break the invisible algorithm attempting to format their life.

Preserve living roots

Restore value to authentic spiritual traditions, the family as a structuring cell, beauty that serves no profit, silence, and community. This is not nostalgia — it's a symbolic counteroffensive.

Spiritual Meaning:

Discernment and Hope
The Beast does not arrive with horns, but with well-intentioned speeches. As Christ warned: “even the elect may be deceived.” The power of seduction lies in seeming virtuous.

Revelation is more than a script of catastrophes, it’s a manual for discernment.

It teaches that signs are not read in headlines, but between the lines- in symbolic collapse, the inversion of values, the destruction of meaning.

But where darkness abounds, the light of awakened consciousness shines all the brighter. The human soul carries within it the divine spark and the capacity to resist- not through violence, but with courage, clarity, and truth.

> “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:32
