Yes that is correct, I am proud to be a BTC shrimp. Some people still have no idea about Bitcoin and I am glad I am not one of them, hence proud to be a shrimp.
With all of the crazy things that have been going on recently in crypto, holding and buying BTC seems to be the safest option in my opinion. We have had Gary Gensler to put up with (although I am grateful in a way as I acquired more BTC at a good price.) There were months of waking up to red, did I care? No I did not, to me it was accumulation time and I have been buying as often as I can. I would like this to go on longer but with the Blackrock application for a spot ETF for Bitcoin, I think my realistic accumulation zone will soon be over and I should get as much BTC as I can as soon as I can.
I want to be a crab (it's not every day you hear that eh!) and I am trying my best. If only I had got BTC instead of those Helium miners but hey live and learn. At least I have seen the light, some still have not.
How am I funding my adventure to becoming a crab? I have done 3 work stints away in the UK this year, most years I do 1. I do realise that I am fortunate and our income from our rental house serves us well, when I work away it is for luxury's or want's instead of needs. Well I want Bitcoin so here I am. There are days I just want to say 'that's it, just throw all our savings into BTC'. I have not done that but I do feel that in a few years I will look back on this post and say 'you should have done that'.
Technically we have Bitcoin savings (On the ledger, don't touch)
Bitcoin staking (A small amount on an exchange earning interest)
Bitcoin for trading (Currently a small amount as an experiment, will do a post about this eventually)
So for now it is 1 step at a time, just work at becoming a crab but holding any BTC is an achievement that I believe will be very important in the future.
