Hey there!
In my last vlog I talked about starting my sophomore year and how excited I was about being a sophomore. I also mentioned about a freshman who mistook me as her batchmate and was horrified when she found out I was a year senior XD ( P.S the poor soul thought I would bully her because it is a tradition in our place to bully freshmen in the name of 'ragging'). I assured her that our department was unlike the others and that ragging is considered a very bad thing here.
When we were freshmen, our seniors gave us a very warm welcome. We were so relieved to meet them and they helped us alot. Our seniors are the best. Seeing them do so much for us made us want to do even more for our juniors but a problem came. The senior year students at our time were too lazy to organize anything. We decided to take the whole responsibility but due to lack of funds we couldn't arrange a good welcome for them. Nevertheless, we did all we could and communicated with them. Our juniors are very sweet but some are too shy. I have noticed this since childhood that younger people tend to be less social in real life and prefer to stay quiet on their phones than talk to anyone. I don't like this at all but what can I say because I too prefer to stay quiet infront of new people especially those who are older than me.
It is so sad that in this tech era where everything is made so easy for human life, the most difficult thing now is to start a conversation with humans in real life. I would like to share an incidence here. Back in 2019, I used to go to an evening academy for my exams and made friends with 3 people. We had an hour free class in which we would talk and have fun. One day we found the password to the wifi, after that everybody would be on their phones with their headphones plugged in. We would be talking on instagram but in real life. Seeing myself in my juniors I went up to them and talked to them. They were so nice and started talking to me rightaway. We had a great time and exchanged numbers too.
This was really wholesome for me because I am a very antisocial person too when it comes to talking in real life but it becomes so much easier once you stop thinking about unnecessary things and start conversating rightaway. I would really like all my readers to start conversating more with the people around us because we are given only one life, why not spend it in making beautiful memories with our loved ones!
