1 BTC Project - A New Cambly Strategy Emerges.

Dearest Gentle Reader,

I’ve written about Cambly several times before, but the landscape has shifted. It is no longer the "easy way to earn a few bucks while multitasking" that it once was; it has progressed into a genuine second job. While I still enjoy it, I do miss the days when it felt like an effortless $5–$10 per week.

Because it now requires more intentional effort, I’ve made a shift: I now count 100% of my Cambly earnings in my monthly budget. ### The Synergies: Cambly + ReceiptHog I’ve paired Cambly with ReceiptHog since the beginning. ReceiptHog pays out via PayPal, but PayPal has a $15 CAD minimum withdrawal. At the rate the "Hog" pays out (1,000 points for $5 takes about 2.5 months), hitting that threshold for a Bitcoin transfer would be annoyingly slow.

However, by targeting a $20 USD payout from Cambly every Tuesday, I create a consistent flow. Whenever a ReceiptHog payment hits my PayPal, I can bundle it with my Cambly earnings and move it all into BTC the following Tuesday.

The New Strategy: Shakepay "Bright" Status

I’m now pairing Cambly with an old favorite: Shakepay. Since Shakepay changed its rewards structure, I now need to purchase $100 of Bitcoin each month to maintain "Bright" status and receive my 1,000 sats per day—a far cry from the old "free" earn days. I prefer not to use my regular taxable income for crypto, so I’m adjusting my tactics:

The Plan: I will allocate $5 from every weekly Cambly payment specifically for Bitcoin.
The Goal: While this won't cover the full $100 required for Shakepay’s top tier, it significantly reduces the amount of "out-of-pocket" taxable income I need to contribute to keep my streak alive.

Cambly might be more work than it used to be, but it remains the engine that powers the 1BTC Project. With Bitcoin prices where they are may as well direct as much energy towards stacking as I can.
