If you’re an Audius user—especially an early adopter—you should be on high alert. A new scam is circulating that impersonates Audius and attempts to trick users into giving up their wallet details or tokens.
Recently, some community members have reported receiving private messages inside the Audius app claiming to reward early users. These messages direct victims to a fake website:
👉 https://audius.team/ (⚠️ Do not visit or connect your wallet!)
How the Scam Works
-
You receive a direct/private message in the Audius app.
-
The message congratulates you for being an early user and offers a special reward or airdrop.
-
You’re directed to the fake site “audius.team.”
-
The site may look professional, but it is not affiliated with Audius—its only goal is to trick you into connecting your wallet or entering your seed phrase.
-
If you interact with it, scammers can drain your tokens, NFTs, or other digital assets.
How to Stay Safe
-
Never trust unsolicited private messages, even if they appear to come from within the Audius app.
-
Official Audius domains are typically under audius.co. Double-check URLs before clicking.
-
Do not connect your wallet to suspicious websites.
-
Never share your seed phrase or private keys with anyone, under any circumstances.
-
Follow updates from the official Audius Twitter/X, Discord, or website for legitimate announcements.
What To Do If You Receive This Scam Message
-
Ignore and delete the message.
-
Do not click any links inside it.
-
If possible, report the sender through Audius support or the app’s reporting system.
-
Spread the word to other Audius users to prevent them from falling victim.
🚨 Remember: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Scammers often target loyal community members with fake rewards and airdrops. Protect your wallet at all costs.
Stay safe out there—and share this warning with your fellow Audius community members.
