What’s up Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and also enjoying this amazing card game in your free time. For those who are a daily player like me, I hope you all are focused on the game currently as there are only 5 days remaining for this ongoing ranked season to end. For me, I was playing in Diamond 1 but after losing a lot in the last day, I have slipped down to Diamond II and now trying to reach back my position. My current trophy rating is 3,220 so less than 200 trophies required for me to reach back in D1. To enjoy the season end even more, I have rented 250k SPS which will boost my SPS earnings from the game and I have also rented Rage and some other missing chaos cards which will hopefully increase my performance in the battlefield. If all goes well I will be earning at least double SPS on every win for the next 7 days, so let’s see how much I can grind in these next 7 days. I have been earning a lot of Glint points as well and right now having 250k+ glints saved in my in-game reward wallet, so if I find extra time to play splinterlands, I may use them to recharge my battle mana so that I can play more matches while the rented SPS lasts.

Now moving on, let me come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be showcasing a cute rebellion card which will save you to defense by healing and help you survive for longer in the battlefield. As you have already sen it in the thumbnail above, today we will be learning about Meriput Magician, so without any further delay, let us jump right in!

Meriput Magician

Meriput Magician is one of the very few healer cards that exist in the modern format and are very helpful in building healer friendly lineups. I often use this monster to heal up my front cards and choose rest cards mostly good attackers to kill down enemy cards while defending my front. Meriput got launched into the game with the latest Rebellion edition monsters and this monster belongs to the Life element. It is a magic attack type card that costs only 5 mana to be used in battles, which means you can easily fit this card in your lineup in small to medium mana range battles and it is a common type of card. Let us now look further into this car’s stays and abilities league wise at below.

BRONZE

AT level 3, this card possesses 1 magic attack at; speed with 6 health along with the Tank Heal ability that it gets since its initial level. With the Tank heal ability, this card can heal a portion of the total health of the front position injured monster. So even from Bronze level, you can build healer lineups with this monster.

SILVER

When this monster reaches level 5, it gets 1 magic attack at 4 speed with 6 health and also gets a new ability called Shield. With the help of this new ability, this card will now get reduced damage from enemy melee and ranged monsters.

GOLD

When you upgrade this card to level 8, it receives 1 magic attack at 5 speed with 8 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. With the increased speed and healing + shield ability, thus monster may be used to defence for a while if your main defence is down.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

When this monster finally gets upgraded to max level 10, it possesses 1 magic attack at 5 speed with 8 health and finally gets another new ability called Strengthen at its final level. With this new ability, this monster will now give all friendly monster +1 health. So your whole lineup now get even more strong thanks to this cute Meriput magician.

BATTLE STAT

This was one of the best matches that I played yesterday and it was a large 49 mana limit match where 3 elements were allowed - Fire, Water and Life. There were 3 rulesets applied in this match Reach, No neutral and Resurrection and after thinking between water and life, I finally went with Life and chose a double heal magic attack lineup where the front and taunt monster would be healing up while I attack and kill down enemy monster with my magic and melee attacks while leveraging the Reach ruleset buff. So I designed my lineups accordingly.

LINEUP STRATEGY

For my lineup, I chose the Legendary Life summoner Grandmaster Rathe summoner and to protect my front, I chose the Chaos Knight followed by Jared Scar with Reach ability, Adelade Brightwing, Iziar, Djinn Renova and Meriput Magician at the last position of my lineup. Here the front 2 melee monsters will do massive melee damage along with all the rest magic monsters targeting the front monster while the Iziar will be healed by Renova and the Knight by Meriput. So my lineup will survive hopefully for at least a handful of rounds and I have to kill all the enemy cards within that. As the lineups got revealed, I found out that my opponent has used Lux Vega summoner with Life element cards with Uriel at the front followed by Jared Scar, Renova, Adelade, Time Mage and Prismologist at the end place of his lineup.

MATCH PERFORMANCE

As the match started, the first 2 enemy cards targeted my Knight while the rest 4 cards on my Iziar, while all of my 6 cards targeted his front monster Uriel, so as expected I killed down his Uriel at the second round while both my Chaos Knight and Iziar keep getting healed. The Uriel then got resurrected 2 times back to back but killed by my monsters while my Iziar also died multiple times and gave extra stats to the adjacent monsters by its Martyr ability, which was the main advantage I got and won this match upon and I really enjoyed watching the match.

I hope you enjoyed watching the battle that I shared above and also liked reading my post. Let me know your thoughts and experiences with Meriput and I will be seeing you all in my next post.
