Splinterlands | First Rebellion Airdrop and upcoming changes in game

What’s up my fellow splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are having a blasting day with your family and friends. If you are a splinterlands player like me, then I hope you have started pushing your trophy count toward your goal already, be it to enter a certain league/tier or to secure a position in the league leaderboards. But there’s bad news for leaderboard chasers because this will be the last season with separate leaderboard rewards and from next season onwards, only champion leaderboard rewards will be there and all rest, i.e., Bronze to Diamond leaderboard rewards will get removed from the next season onwards. I compete in champion lb usually but this is concerning me as well because now many lower league players will now come and try to compete in Champion. Let’s see how it changes the environment in this game once updated. Not only that, the choice to Advance to the next league when having enough trophies will be no more and once having enough trophies, the player will automatically advance to the next league. Also, there will be no longer maximum level limits of cards so if you have powerful upgraded cards and playing in lower leagues, you will get a good advantage and hopefully reach the leagues above you quicker. There will not be any penalties as well for using low-level cards which will definitely favor low-level accounts and they can now gather more rewards in ranked matches whenever winning. There will be no division based on leagues in the SPS reward pool for ranked battles. There will be only 2 pools, 1 for modern and the other one for wild and both will be undivided from the season onwards. Last but not least, the ELO rating system will also get changed to a flat rating system where players will now get a flat +20 rating on every win and a -20 rating on every loss. Ranked Win streaks will also be applicable here and when maintaining a streak, a player will get a +40 rating but please note that while playing in the Champion League, the bonus rating will not be applied when maintaining a streak.

Now, taking a look at my own progress in this ongoing season, I am currently fighting in Champion II tier with a current trophy count of 4,208 and so far, I have collected a total of 68 season reward chests and have another almost 5 days before the season ends, I think I can collect another 20 chests at least, but I will try my best to reach 100 reward chests for this season. In order to achieve that, I have started renting SPS this season and the result is very good so far as I am earning more SPS and reward points per ranked match win. I am currently having around 121k SPS of my own and currently renting another 185k SPS and no doubt I am earning above 10 SPS per ranked match win and sometimes it touches even 13-15 SPS occasionally. I don't know why I was missing this amazing feature but from now on I will keep renting SPS throughout every season and hopefully, it will help me to grow my staked SPS quicker over time. Now taking a look at my today's activity, I got Dragon as my daily focus mission rule and it is one of my favourite rules, so I literally overplayed today and collected 11 ficus chests which I will be opening tomorrow morning. However, due to overplaying today I also drained my energy bar a lot today. I played in the morning time and right now it is almost midnight here, and there’s only 28 energy left in my bar, so I am thinking of playing a bit less tomorrow to balance it because obviously, season-end war is coming and I have to be well prepared for that.

Moving on, let us now talk a bit about the conflict. For those who don't know, Conflict is the name of the new airdrop mechanism where cards are being airdropped to players and investors who stake their Rebellion packs and cards into wagons and collect Contribution points every hour. There will be a total of 9 airdrops, each containing a card and every airdrop will happen after 30 days where the cards will get dropped by total contribution points earned by an account. For each 100k contribution points earned by an account, 1 chance will be given and accounts will also be assured guaranteed cards for collecting a certain amount of chances.

The first airdrop card was Rage, which was distributed this week and luckily, I also got 2 Cards from the airdrop. I also used extra vouchers while claiming the airdrop to boost the chances of getting them as gold foil but sadly, no gold for me this time. The card is currently being sold for around 19$ per bcx at the market currently but looking at its stats and abilities and keeping in mind its rarity, I think the price of this card will only rise from here. As per my Contribution status, I am currently earning 83,860 contribution points per hour for staking rebellion cards in wagons and I have a total of 45 cards staked in a total of 7 wagons right now.

The next airdrop card will be distributed after 28 days and so far, I have already accumulated 35 chances for this card. My current goal is to buy some more Rebellion cards so that I can produce enough points that will give me a guaranteed 4 cards but that will be hard work cause Rebellion cards have refused to cut down in their prices due to high demand and low supply. But still, we have to keep trying because buying those cards directly from the market will cost a fortune in the future.

I hope you liked reading my post and if you have got any Rage card from the first rebellion airdrop, please let me know in the comment section below. That’s it for today friends and I will be seeing you all in my next post!
