7/8/20 Our first family trip to Cub Run Stream Valley Park. We had a little trouble finding a public access trail head. The GPS had me driving around in a neighborhood like a stalker looking for it. We finally saw where we could enter and found good parking. We did not cover the entire park but what we saw of it was pretty nice. The kids had a blast swimming in the river where the trail went through it. They loved the circular stepping stones. Who would have thought that something so simple could entertain a child for the entire day probably if we let them stay there that long. The water today was a perfect temperature and was just the right depth for a 2 and a 3 year old to have a blast. Lots of wildflowers in the park. It's probably awesome in the spring. The trails got pretty busy around 6:00 - 8:00 PM. To be expected. The park shares a border with a lot of houses. Most of which have private little trails that lead from the houses into the main trails. I was surprised at the lack of trash in the area even though so many houses were around. As far as wildlife, we saw all the usual suspects, snakes, tiny baby mud turtle, fish, lots of birds, and we were lucky enough to see a very large owl as night fell. I'm sure this will become one of our regular places we visit. We had fun.

I couldn't decide what to name this blog. I tend to way overthink things like that. Everything sounded so cheesy. Why is it ok to spell cheese with both an s and a z? I could have went with "Random Thoughts Section". My Lucid Life seemed to resonate. Expressed clearly and easy to understand, I hope. Thinking clearly between periods of confusion and insanity. Here are some stories of my life. Things I don't want to forget or mind sharing. Reader, I hope you laugh more than you cry. Feel free to comment.
