Tron in it's near future will have a privacy option added to it's platform. Trx is growing and adding more use cases for mass adoption. On January 6th Justin Sun gave a hint the privacy coin project was almost finished and asked Users to give ideas for the best name. Many Users responded suggesting different names for the project including TRON-P, P-TRX, Privatron, and Pron. Justin is great at interacting with the Tron community but most likely the Trx company will come up with the final name.
Justin Sun said that TRON will use zk-SNARKS and shielded transactions to hide transaction data - such as sender and recipient addresses, inputs and outputs, and transaction amounts. TRON will also use a system called multi-party computation (MPC) to secure the system. The entire approach borrows heavily from "Zcash" . It’s not clear how users will access TRON’s privacy features, apart from the fact that privacy will be optional. TRON could conceivably add privacy features to its main TRX token or issue a secondary token.
Privacy coins are on the rise and with the dapp TronTrade built into the Ecosystem a privacy TRC-20 Token can be easily Traded on the decentralized exchange dapp.
Shielded Transactions on TRON
On Twitter Justin Sun explained the details of the privacy features coming to TRON.
The shielded transactions will reportedly hide the addresses of both the sender and receiver, the amount sent, and transaction inputs and outputs. The upgrade uses zk-SNARKs — seen on Zcash, and a multi-party computational protocol.
