Nerdcore is a sub-genre of hip-hop however with lyrics that address issues of geek interest. Always with infectious beats and totally nerdy lyrics, this style of music has won fans around the world.
Although it seems something recent, the term came up in the 2000s to define a totally new style, but not so interesting commercially speaking. For this reason, most artists follow independent careers, creating geek songs in the best “do it yourself” style.
Usually these nerdy music productions are made available online and free of charge. Some lyrics address hacking themes, telling life stories of the artists themselves who are usually or were part of the nerd universe of technology.

Above you heard the production of one of the most influential artists in nerdy culture, Dual Core, a duo composed of an American rapper (David Martinjak, known as int eighty, from Cincinnati) and a British producer (Chris Hunger, known as c64, from Manchester), formed in 2003.
