Petr Čech's rich career has come to an end. The football story wrote the last verse and it was very symbolic. Petr Čech joined the European League final against "his" team FC Chelsea, with which he won the cup for the Champions League and also for the European League, including several English Premier League titles.
Long before the game, it was speculated whether coach Emery would actually give a chance to say goodbye to the field, or whether he would send Arsenal's goalie Bernd Leno to the match. For Petr Čech, they spoke of the experience, the fact that the European League final was caught exclusively by him and he took up the consecution to the finals and then also the emotional side, the possibility of a final good bye on the field. Any pragmatist, however, would be able to send Leno insensibly to the goal, but fortunately Emery pointed to Petr Čech.
The last match hasn't happy ending. Although Arsenal was a better team in the first half, his defense allowed Chelsea to score four times. One goal was from the penalty and not even one was Čech fault. In addition, he held his team several times with a good intervention. But it wasn't a good match for Arsenal, the defense was poor, and the midfielders couldn't come up with a final pass for the attacking duo Aubameyang-Lacazette.
Eden Hazard scored two goals yesterday, for whom it was probably the last game for Chelsea before the summer move to Real Madrid, which has been spoken for months. Madrid is Hazard´s dream destination.
Petr Čech, this name has indelibly entered Premier League statistics. Petr did not let the ball in the goal in 202 games, the second David James has 33 clean sheets less!
