Bittersweet
One of the most attractive aspects of Hive is its diversity. There are so many different communities and tribes. Whatever your passion, you are likely to find a community of like-minded individuals nestled somewhere within the Hive ecosystem. There is however also a downside to this, and that is that much takes place in isolation. Perhaps you are subscribed to a handful of tribes, whatever takes place outside of these communities is to a large extent, unbeknown to you.
This ultimately means that much of what takes place in the Hive ecosystem takes place in isolated corners. This is where LeoThreads can act as a tool to unite communities in front of a single audience. This creates more exposure for alternative communities, while simultaneously expanding LeoThreads. I recently referred to Threads as a “Family Meeting”. A gathering of smaller “families” that all carry the Hive name.
Perhaps, you have experienced such a meeting within your own family. Families from around the world who are all related and carry the same surname come together every so often, so as to meet and mingle. It’s a bonding experience, that ultimately serves to strengthen the family structure, as well as to activate and encourage ongoing communication, even from afar. In a very similar way, I believe that Threads helps to achieve this objective within the Hive family.
The launch of the new UI has been instrumental in attracting other communities to Threads. These are still early days, and we are already experiencing “partnerships” and other communities joining the LeoThreads family. The dynamic at work within Threads can have an enormous impact, once more and more alternative communities, not only begin to utilize Threads but actually become increasingly active.
Honestly, as I mentioned in a previous post, the new UI has actually gone as far as to increase my appetite for short-form content. The presentation and user experience of any Dapp are both imperative aspects contributing to either the success or failure of the particular Dapp in question. Leofinance appears to be heading in the right direction when it comes to LeoThreads, and I am sure there will be a lot more “tweaks” along the road.
Additional Content Being Produced On-Chain
Sharing and engaging on Threads is ultimately causing more content to be produced on the Hive blockchain. This is a metric that always needs to be increased, especially if a project is to experience consistent and healthy growth. I believe that there is still a lot of room for growth and that we are likely to see it take place in the not-too-distant future. As more and more communities begin leveraging Threads, it will take place somewhat naturally.
This is the organic growth that will go on to produce lasting results. In this game, there are many ways to boost traffic and gain new users. However, it’s the “organic” path that truly makes a difference! A good idea is to also be publishing content related to Threads in other communities outside of LeoFinance.
Final Thoughts
LeoThreads stands a very good chance of being extremely impactful within the Hive community. This is much bigger than LeoFinance! This addition is relevant to the entire Hive community. A single application that every single Hive tribe and user can make use of, in order to improve their reach and influence within the ecosystem.
