Despite President Donald Trump's efforts to give the cryptocurrency community more of what it desires, including a strategic bitcoin reserve that the administration announced at the end of last week while hosting cryptocurrency executives at the White House, the price of bitcoin (BTC-USD) is still declining.
In Monday, people saw the biggest cryptocurrency in the world drop below $78,000, its lowest level since the days after Trump's election victory in November of last year. From its peak of over $109,000 on the day of Trump's inauguration in January, it has now fallen over 28%.
Ethereum (ETH) and XRP (XRP) were the other digital assets that saw a decline in prices on Monday in addition to bitcoin. It fell more than 17% on monday in the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase (COIN).
