what is raising grass fed beef vs "meat from the store"

grass fed beef. is what it sounds like they eat grass and hay like they were born to do no steroids, no grain, no chemicals! I run my beef in small movable paddocks run with electric fence moving them every three to four days giving them fresh grass. (I call it a salad bar) they will tromp the bad weeds into the ground and eat the good grasses, so in about 20 days they will be brought back into the first paddock and they will have nice tender green grass they will enjoy mostly the calves this will help with weight gain without using grain or steroids its easy for them to digest meaning more will go into there body.

beef from the store [non organic]

Ok to start with i know many people have no choice to eat this meat even us we have three kids and pinch pennies, and buying 5 dollar a pound meat vs 3 dollar a pound meat we have no choice but to go cheap. so i'm not just saying you need to buy the good meat but if your able to i would really suggest it. most meat from the store comes from cows raised in a feed lot, steroids there whole life trying to get an extra few pounds for market,. feeding them GMO grains (i will do another post one of these next days explaining why i'm against this.)

feed lots will spray fly spray bug spray all over the animals. remember this is your meat.. why would you want it sprayed all over the animals? there is many natural ways to keep this from happening. I use peppermint oil, vinegar, and a little water, and vegetable oil so it will last a little longer. this will not kill the fly's it will deteer them from being around them.. i will continue this journey and keep going on to explain more... i have a limited time in my day for post and blogs so i do apologize if some are a little short.

in-tell next time dream big and never stop believing in your self!
