Trauma Town
You heard a song and sang along, safe and free, much unlike me.
I felt my mind take over time. My heart sped up. Please, make it stop.
That same song brought me down and dragged me straight to trauma town.
I made it home. Look up and see why that old song won't let me be.
The funny thing about the past is that it's free; eternally.
I took a trip and relived the song in a time of bloom: a golden tip, a sinking ship.
I gained control and shouted out inside my mind, "I'm finally free; don't bother me."
I'm safe and free; don't bother me!
Within the rules, there are no rules. I stopped going down to trauma town.
