Thickness of Walls

Thickness of Walls

Ignoring the guilt.
Don't look at the rain.

Just carry on,
they'll think you're insane.

Stay safe inside.
Outside is theirs.

It's simply life,
and nobody cares.

How tables have turned.
The knife points at me.

Lack of self-preservation,
and no one can see.

It happened before.
Yes, I know the score.

I know what to do:
just follow you.

Heaven looks down.
Completely aware.

They just see a clown.
Dead eyes do stare.

How tables have turned.
The knife points at me.

Try to sweve, walk straight, or sit;
unalike's throat gets slit.

But the lessons are learnt.
The past is now burned.

Though nobody calls.
The thickness of walls.

I compose poetry and prose about the disappointments of life; dishonest people we come across; crushed hopes and expectations; the corruption that lies within everyone, but also lighter stuff.
