One After Another

One After Another

She moves things with her mind.
She looked at me so weird.
She said I didn’t care
and thought I wasn’t aware.

She cries alone at night
when the earth turns out her light.
Where the love’s gone, you’ll find her.
But I know you’ll just deny her.

I spoke to her and was surprised
that she could hear me.
She listened with her ear against the wood.
I told her things I had witnessed through the ages.

She couldn’t understand why evil still lives.
Religion is the choice of your mother’s voice.
I should have never told her.

She will be living in so many years from now.
She’ll put you into the ground.
Feel her justice as they rip out your heart.

All the hate makes love seem like art.
She talks to trees and kisses the leaves.
I don’t know, but somehow she’s killing me.
