They don't get it, the double layer in a poem. The worst case of Stockholm syndrome.

Until they're fast asleep. Until they just don't care. Until they start blaming you for everything they don't dare.
Stay on your toes. Your friends are foes. Be aware of time. They'll never be yours. They'll never be mine.
