Indictment
Within sincerity lies an ugly truth.
This happened on your watch.
You failed to read the sign.
It was written in her touch.
If you didn’t seem so much better,
faith could have shown you her bad weather.
How do you look into the mirror?
How can you still stand so tall?
You must have been light, like a feather.
All you did was feel much better.
And you never had a clue?
This happened on your watch!
She’s down because of you.
And I swear to your face,
Great Men of the Truth.
When she starts to come my way,
life begins without your say.
As I write you both this letter,
and your blood begins to boil.
This has happened on your watch.
Her you won’t hear, see, smell, taste, or touch.
Anymore.
