Holland

A gray,
ominous cloud
stands out
against a deep blue sky.

Fields of wheat
as far as the eye can see.

A farmer with a sickle;
a farmer's wife
tying the harvest.

The life of a couple
surviving
without judgment
or distraction.

A tough
but honest portrayal
of life
as it once existed.

Only survival
and love for each other
are the timeless facts
that can be read
from their faces.
