sending brave men off to war
becomes an impossibility,
and "their world"
would be turned upside down.

If it's true that
when you lose someone,
a piece of you goes missing,
I wonder if it's possible
to lose so many loved ones
that there's nothing left of you
and you'll die empty,
alone,
not knowing that,
on the other side,
they're just waiting
for the final piece
of your puzzle.
