The bluefin tuna thunnus thynnus linnaeus is a large pelagic fish belonging to the sgombridae family, also known as bluefin tuna, it is considered the king of the sea. This species is widespread in tropical and subtropical waters, it moves in groups and makes important migrations to feed and reproduce. This voracious and fast predator is able to reach 100km per hour, reaching a length of 3m and a weight of 600kg. The bluefin tuna has two phases in its life, the gregarious one that coincides with the reproductive period where it gathers in large schools to migrate to reproductive sites and an erratic phase where it lives in small groups. Most of the catches of this animal, which is highly sought after by sport fishermen for the emotions that its capture gives, take place in the Mediterranean; in addition to the goodness of its meat, so excellent that it plays a fundamental role in the fish market, this has led to a strong decrease in its presence so much so that it is considered an endangered species.
