Does The Bible Allow You To Be Rich?

In my opinion, Bible is the most contradictory book I've ever read. The Lord shall be simple to understand so that every grandmother can read and imply teachings with ease. However, that's not the case with the Bible, which can be interpreted a million different ways. Some preachers interpret it definitely, some historically, some psychologically.

The thing that separates Christians the most is money. In this article, I'll share MY visions, understandings, and beliefs regarding money. Keep in mind that I am a human being, with no ability to become perfect, therefore, no matter how intelligent I am doesn't exclude the possibility for me to be wrong, and do wrong. If you disagree with me, that's fine. Freely share your opinions, understandings, but politely. I am not interested in debating with blindfolded extremists that are ready to persecute every person who doesn't think the same thing about everything in this world.

First of all, let me remind you that "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he" Proverbs 23:7

The term "heart" represents the subconscious mind which cannot forget, and which determines our habits, reactions, beliefs, and shapes our destiny.

To put it simply, if you think rich, you'll be rich. If you think poor, you'll repel opportunities and all rewards that are following success.

However, there are quotes in the Bible that sound totally contradicting to each other. I'll go through some of them. Let me give you an example:

"The love of money is the root of all evil. By craving it, some have wandered away from the faith.." Timothy 6:10

The term "love" represents loyalty, not wishing for. Logically you may conclude that being loyal to money will get you in trouble, just as being loyal to a mafia boss would get you in jail, sooner or later.

Now, here comes the verse I think was either re-written by corrupt authors, or Jesus was wrong (I'll explain why):

"If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."Matthew 19:21-24

Let's wonder for a second, if God is going to check our bank accounts once we die, or we will be judged upon our deeds!

That verse is contradicting the following verses:

a) "But seek ye first his kingdom and His righteousness, and all these THINGS shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33

b) "I will give you what you did not request, both riches and honor so that during all your days no man in any kingdom will be your equal." 1 Kings 3:13

c) "Beloved, I pray that in EVERY WAY you may prosper and enjoy good health, as your soul also prospers." 3 John 1:2

d) "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." Psalm 23:2

Giving (Gifting)

The Bible teaches us the importance of giving (gifting). A logical question would be: "What can a man give if he sold and gave everything he had?" "Tithe" represents ten percent of your earnings, but if you're unemployed, you may also offer your time and talents. Any form of good you do for another is considered to be "tithe".

a) "Bring ye all the TITHES into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Malachi 3:10

b) "It is more blessed to give than to receive" Jesus in Bible Acts 20:35

The Bible teaches us giving is the guarantor of receiving, so, how can you NOT become wealthy if you imply teachings from the Bible regarding gifting?

The Name Of The Lord

a) "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain." Mosiah 13:15

b) "I am that I am" Exodus 3:14

c) "I am the Lord thy God" Ten Commandments

d) "So shall my word be that goes out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing I sent it to do." Isaiah 55:11

You see, everything stems from the inside. The only thing that is anything, does anything, becomes anything, or has anything is one's consciousness. Seldom you can hear Christians take the name of the Lord in vain by adding something negative to the "I AM". Their words don't return to them void, but they prosper and accomplish that which they please, because we are always getting perfect results, whether it's a perfect mess or a perfect joy.

One cannot become wealthy with a mind that repels riches. One cannot win with a mind that begs to lose. So, being prosperous and rich is FINE as long as you have the money, but if the money has you, you're in trouble, but generally, It ain't your problem that ignorant are adding negative affirmations to the "I AM" and establishing a misery-loving mindsets instead of prosperity oriented ones!

How can poor people open factories and offer someone to work for the sake of his/her family? You're not taking anything from the poor by being rich, it's as simple as that.

"The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing." Psalm 92:12-15

To summarize, it really depends of you whether you're going to believe the Lord wants you to be poor and oppressed or not, 'cause the Bible offers plenty of verses to back both beliefs. In my opinion, If you're born with talents and tasks to accomplish, it is impossible for you to become both, poor and prosperous.

So, seek you first the Kingdom of God, and all the things shall be added unto you...
