The amazonian rainforest got 6 species of wild felines. All of them are very beautiful and rare. Unfortunately, they are in grave beacause their natural environment is more and more deforestated. Here are our lovely big cats !
The biggest of them is the Jaguar (Panthera onca), who is also a very good swimmer.
The Puma (Puma concolor) is the second in size.
My favorite is the Ocelot (Leopardus pardalis). This is the one who have on the thumbnail image.
The other wild felines have the size of our domestic cats.
Like the Jaguarondi (Herpailurus yagouroundi).
The last are very similar and very difficult to find.
The Margay (Leopardus wiedii)
And the Oncilla (Leopardus tigrinus)
