The 'dark' side of crypto.

Even crypto currencies are becoming a part of the dark, or deep web. It is not necessary to hide as many criminals act in the dark web for every kind of illegal activity, and the characteristics of the blockchain and crypto are becoming the best mean to obscurate the identity.

Quality and defects of new tecnologies, maybe. Just consider a recent case.

Europol, with the help of Italian Postal Police worked together to arrest an italian man who was suspected to have hired a killer on the deep web to kill (for around 10000, 00 Euros of countervalue paid to crypto wallets) the ex girlfriend.

The led analysis by the Police, and Europol was enough complicated, especially to trace and to identify the transaction related to tried king of a girl. According to Italian Police Report, their activity has been able to trace the crypto provider, that has been forced to unveil any details of the suspected transaction. If we think about the characteristics of crypto tech, to unveil data could undermine the blockchain process, that is why a general legal discipline urges. The investigation prevented, sacrifying crypto tech, to save a human life, that is very important, of course.

At European level Cyber Crime Center ( EC3 ) is, by now, part of Europol activity and discipline, but is it enough?
Considering, however, according to my thoughts, the necessity to preserve the freedom to use crypto, but to fight crime, as well, Authorities are really invited to conciliate a techno process that cannot be stopped, blocking crimes in a proper manner.
