Who is Eric Zemmour ?

By LP | L'essentiel du patrimoine | 7 Nov 2021

Certainly a future candidate for the French presidential election, I offer the community a quick biography to get to know Eric Zemmour better.

Born in 1958 in Montreuil, he grew up in the Paris region, notably in Drancy. His father was a paramedic, from a Jewish family from Algeria.

After his baccalaureate, he joined the political training institute "Sciences Po", and at the end he tried the entrance exam to the ENA (national school of administration), where he was ultimately not admitted.

He then began a career in journalism at Le Quotidien de Paris in 1986 and then at Le Figaro.

He then continued from 2003 on TV, first on I-Télé and between 2006 and 2011 on France 2, in the program "on n'est pas couché", within the duo "Zemmour et Naulleau". His lively interventions will popularize him to the public. It will then appear on France O, Paris Première and RTL radio.

From 2019 to 2021, we find him as a columnist on CNews, in the show facing the info.

At the start of the 2021 school year, he left CNEWS and published his latest book "La France n'a pas dit son dernier mot" ("France did not say its last word"), and went on tour throughout France in order to promote it literary, and gave very political speeches on the identity, education, industrialization, immigration and independence of France.

To date, Eric Zemmour has not yet been declared a candidate for the 2022 presidential election, but would already be credited with more than 15% of voting intentions in the first round.
