Bienvenidos mis ositos, tu siempre eres mis queridos! (Welcome back little bears you are always my dears!)
When I was a precocious lad I had an opportunity to visit the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Back then it was a beautiful mess of financial frenzy. I saw human whirlwinds trying to fill orders. People running back and forth and almost slipping on the order tickets that littered the floor.
I saw people beaming and giving each other high fives while a few feet away a grown man was weeping into his hands. I’m guessing he probably lost a ton of money.
Fast forward a few decades later we may see more weeping from centralized financial exchanges. They are like dinosaurs watching the DEX meteors heralding their impending doom.
I knew about the efficiency and performance of DEXs but I wanted to see how they would stack up against the old timers like:
CBOE, CME, COIN, ICE, MKTX
I compared their performance against one of the new kids on the block:
I wanted to see how a shareholder would fare against a liquidity provider.
As always I appreciate your support and hope you enjoy learning something different.
