2021. A new year with new crypto opportunities.
I've tossed out a few services:
- I uninstalled Current. With its bugs and flaws, I can convincingly argue that the smartphone app qualifies as a virus.
- I uninstalled Lolli. They said point-blank that their service is incompatible with Brave Browser.
- I uninstalled CryptoTab Browser. They performed an unauthorized charge for their cloud mining, then would not let me use the Cloud Mining for which I did not want to pay. I'm currently talking to my bank to get the charge nullified.
- I de-listed TrustDice. The site does not even load properly most of the time, so I have no reason to continue logging in and trying to boost my less-than-a-cent-a-day rate.
Having said that, I'm going to focus more on interest-bearing services. Once I reach the $0.01/day threshold, I'll share my findings.
In the meantime, let's see how my crytpo efforts started in 2021.
-
Browse with Brave Browser
I didn't have many ads in December, so I'll get about $2.60 in BAT for December. Every little bit helps, though, and browsers like Edge and CryptoTab give me nothing but grief.
I keep seeing conflicting information about whether or not Brave has a referral program. Well, if it does, then curse me for not being able to find it. -
Log into Ronex: Keep it open
I'm still nervous about whether or not this is a scam. Fortunately, I'll be able to perform a trust test in the second week of January. I'll attempt a BTC withdrawal. If it fails for any reason -- including them telling me that I have to make an external deposit first -- then I'll consider it a scam, de-list it, post a mea culpa, and move on.
But if it is not a scam, it's paying $3.16/day. Here's hoping. -
Play Crytpo Mining Game at least three times a day
I'm not making enough to warrant a spot on the daily scoreboard, but I am currently earning 136 satoshi/week through mining alone, which is roughly $0.04/week. If I can keep building momentum, I may be able to add this to the totals before too long. Every satoshi helps, right?
To date, I have earned $0.00 from 4 referrals. -
Check Publish0x at least three times a day
One of my 2021 goals is to be far more active on Publish0x. I'm talking "At least one blog post/day." My work with Three Gen Media takes priority, of course. Still, every BAT and AMPL helps, right?
To date, I have two referrals. In 2021, I should put more effort into promoting both my blogs and Publish0x as a whole. - Log into BTCFox daily
At 11,312 satoshis/day, BTCFox starts the year with a strong performance. I'll continue to make external deposits when my budget permits.
I currently have 5 referrals which has earned me 827 satoshis. - Play Splinterlands daily
I finally have a card that I am comfortable with renting: a gold-foil level 4 Goblin Thief. Next week, I'll open a PeakMonsters account so I can rent cards on a weekly basis. My first card probably won't get much attention, but when I buy additional summoner cards, I can rent those out. I already have one Yodin Zaku for my personal use; one more, and it's time to rent it!
The Splinterlands Discord bots inform me that my deck is currently worth $141.18.
To date, I have no referrals. Considering the game's popularity, this is not a shocker. -
Check ChickHen when it's time to buy a new premium bird.
My flock earns me 2,248 satoshis/day. Without any further reinvestment, I can buy another Sparrow on 2021-01-15 and attempt a withdrawal on 2021-01-28.
To date, I have earned $0.00 from 8 referrals. - Check Coin Birds when it's time to buy a new premium bird.
My flock earns me $0.48/day. I can buy another Blue bird on the afternoon of 2021-01-06. However, I won't be able to make a PayPal cashout until 2021-06-27 without additional investments.
To date, I have earned 500 silver coins (equivalent to roughly $0.06) from 2 referrals. -
Let my hashrates at HashShiny build
I'm beginning to have second thoughts about not endorsing this site. I just found out that the smartphone app has an incredible feature: interest-bearing DeFi accounts for BTC, ETH, and USDC. Even better, HashShiny accepts fiat deposits of at least $20. And their interest rates range from 8% to 13%. If this works as advertised, I'm putting the link and the referral stats back.
In the meantime, I'm making about $0.70/day in BTC, meaning that I'm reinvesting every two days. I'm also making $0.05/day in ETH, which leads to a reinvestment roughly once every 20 days. Oof. -
Use Pei for purchases
Pei continues to frustrate. Its smartphone app consistently crashes after 1-2 clicks. Its plug-in insists that I disable ad-block. My current plan is to reach the minimum payout, withdraw to PayPal, and uninstall everything. If anyone wants to convince me to do otherwise, lots of luck to you.

DAILY TOTAL
To calculate my daily total, I'm being purposely pessimistic. I'm only counting income that is reasonably guaranteed. I'm excluding all games until/unless I can demonstrate steady, provable, passive income. I'm also excluding currency that cannot currently be spent, such as RX Coin.
Figures are based on values as of 2021-01-02 7:05pm PST, when the price of 1 BTC was $32,703.80.
BTCFox
$3.32/day
ChickHen
$0.66/day
Coin Birds
$0.48/day
HashShiny
$0.70/day (BTC)
$0.05/day (ETH)
Ronex
$3.16/day
The figures add up to $8.37/day in passive income. If I decided to collect instead of reinvest, that would lead to an additional $3,055.05/year. Clearly, the lesson here is that uninstalling buggy apps and intrusive services is profitable.
I admit that those figures will take serious hits if Ronex, BTCFox, or HashShiny turn out to be scams. For now, though, I'll remain guardedly positive.
I also have deposits with four interest-bearing services. When any of them reach the $0.01/day threshold, I'll tell you more about them.
In the meantime, I'm going to take a nap and let visions of satoshi-plums dance in my head.
Until next time, crypto conquistadores!
