Dear reader,
When I first thought of setting up DMFcast, my motivation was to build a platform for likeminded Digital Media Freelancers. The initial goal of the platform is to highlight the profiles and successes of fellow Digital Media Freelancers and hopefully learn from them along the way. A win-win scenario if it plays out right.
Today I'd like to get the review section up and running and what better way to do this than to highlight one of our own Publish0x blogger's pieces of work: Allen Taylor and his recently released book: Cryptosocial.
About the author
First of all let's see who we're dealing with here, shall we? Allen Taylor is a seasoned writer with a background in journalism, editing and publishing. He writes mainly in 2 areas that spark his interest the most, Christianity and Cryptocurrency. Allen has many years of professional writing experience under his belt - so you know you're in good hands here.
Book review:
CRYPTOSOCIAL
HOW CRYPTOCURRENCIES ARE CHANGING SOCIAL MEDIA
This is an interesting book that takes a look at a very hyped topic (cryptocurrencies) from a different angle, that of social media networks. Many books, articles, documentaries, etc., have been created about the economic risks and rewards of cryptocurrencies but this book takes a different approach and looks at how the benefits of decentralised blockchain technology can work together with social media networks to create a fairer, more inclusive medium of expression.
Whether you're a seasoned crypto veteran looking for new platforms to engage in, or you're a social media pro looking to monetise your creativity, there will surely be value to be found within the pages of this book. Maybe you're an outsider wanting to look at the development of these industries and are curious to see how they mesh. Allen’s got you covered.
The fact that over 80 different projects are listed in the appendix shows us that this sector has some serious interest brewing, however under the radar the cryptosocial ecosystem may appear to be.
Well worth a read!
Rating: 5 / 5
If you'd like to get a copy of the book (e-book or paperback) then head over to Allen's Amazon page. As a fellow writer, I can tell you that Allen would be very happy to receive a review, so drop a short review and give him a rating once you've had the chance to read the book.
That's it for today's review. Hope you liked it and once again, I highly recommend this book if you're interested in social media platforms and want to learn how blockchain is destined to tie into the future of this industry.
