The past year I started an experiment with the Tezos cryptocurrency.
The experiment consists in hodling tezzies for an entire year, to see if I can make a winning investment, but also to plunge myself into the ecosystem of the said cryptocurrency, because by making a public commitment I am also "forced" so to speak, to learn about the platform and it's community.
Well, so far it has been fun and also monetarily rewarding (the coin is going up), so, I thought about doing a series with more coins that are under my radar or that it might be fun to hodl for 1 year.
The coins I will hold for one year (till January 10, 2021) will be:
Bitcoin, LBC, ChainLink, Basic Attention Token, Hydro, ETN
Bitcoin: To proclaim in public that I will hold BTC will help me commit to not sell (a lot) of BTC in this year, in which the bull market might explode. (Here we go 1 million Mexican pesos!! :D)
LBC: This is one of my front runners to ethereum-like returns, so, this needs to be put on a public commitment.
ChainLink: This coin grew in the middle of the bottom of the bear market. And that's the moment it caught my eye. So here we are.
Basic Attention Token: I got it for free in exchange for brain juice in the form of typing on publish0x, so why not?
Hydro: I also get it for free and it is difficult to exchange it, so, again, why not?
ETN: I got it for free, is almost worth zero, and is difficult to exchange, so the best way to do something meaningful with this coin is to monetize my bag holding.
Schedule for releasing updates
So, if you notice, now we have 7 total experiments, the ones just mentioned + Tezos. So, the new release schedule for each coin will be as follows:
Tezos: The 2nd of every month, except if it falls on Sunday, in which case it would be released on Monday.
Bitcoin: The 6th of every month, except if it falls on Sunday, in which case it would be released on Monday.
ChainLink: The 12th of every month, except if it falls on Sunday, in which case it would be released on Monday.
Basic Attention Token: The 17th of every month, except if it falls on Sunday, in which case it would be released on Monday.
LBC: The 22th of every month, except if it falls on Sunday, in which case it would be released on Monday.
Hydro: The 25th of every month, except if it falls on Sunday, in which case it would be released on Monday.
ETN: The 29 of every month, except if it falls on Sunday, in which case it would be released on Monday.
Not every cryptocurrency is made equal, so that's why different rules apply for each coin, let's see:
Tezos: Put fiat into tezos every month, learn as much of the technology behind it and engage with its community.
Bitcoin: Buy as much as possible and just hodl.
LBC: Put fiat into LBC every month, learn as much of the technology behind it and engage with its community.
ChainLink: Put fiat into chainlink every month, learn as much of the technology behind it and engage with its community.
Basic Attention Token: Make as much BAT as possible through social mining such as with Publish0x, and try to see how much browser referrals I can get to find out if I can live on BAT
Hydro: Just hodl, monetize through these articles the fact that I have this coin, maybe share my concerns and critiques about this project (I got a few already) so that hopefully, the team can take them into account.
ETN: Just hodl and try to get more referrals so that I can produce more ETN (My referral code is: 79BA72) thanks in advance if you use it.
My forecasting for each coin
(going up, down, sideways?)
Tezos: I see tezos going up, especially since the staking mechanism seems to work, although I don't see it exploding since the community doesn't strike me as very strong or united, case in point, the dune.network social fork and the abandoned discord server that I described here:
Bitcoin: Waiting for 1 million pesos by the end of this bull market. Let's see.
LBC: I see this coin exploding, for reasons that I will share in detail in further articles, my only question is how high can it get. I see it as the closest to bitcoin that I can think of. Stay tuned, subscribe, and follow me on LBRY (link at the footnote).
ChainLink: This coin seeks to become the bridge between different blockchains, and it grew within the bottom of the bear market. I see this coin going up, but I am unfamiliar with the technology, infrastructure and it's community in order to make a more precise forecasting.
Basic Attention Token: I see this coin going up in a limited way, I see some shortcomings that I will share on future articles.
Hydro: I see plenty of problems with this coin, but since I get it for free in publish0x, game theory tells me that this is the most practical way to transform this coin into a food provider. I don't think it will go up, but I am open to be surprised. :Y
ETN: I see this coin staying low in price, but since it almost takes no effort, it can serve to monetize my blog with this little experiment and thus, make me some modest gains throughout the year.
So now you know the schedule, the reasons and the idea. Stay tuned for the next dedicated article sharing specific numbers. Next two articles (back to back) will be bitcoin and chainlink.
Thank you for reading this article! this blog is still growing and I am very grateful for every reader around here.
