Proof of coverage

Proof of coverage

Two exciting projects for me are Chia and Helium, Chia is proof of time and space, Helium is proof of coverage, "the people's network", a decentralized wireless infrastructure.

Whilst with Chia you can (and I would recommend it) just use the equipment you have, and perhaps it would not be wise to invest in new hardware (too late?), with Helium basically you have to spend out on a Helium device from one of these:

Nebra - it is a stylish device in both indoor and an outdoor ruggedized version. Unfortunately it is sold out and there are no indications on the site regarding when sales will resume

RAK - seems to be the most common device on the network right now, the ordering process is simple, currently there is a lottery system involving filling a form each day

Bobcat - actually available, but with clumsy USDT ordering process - more expensive than the others which is off putting

To me, Nebra and RAK seem the best options, but be prepared to wait. In the meantime you can download the Helium app and also check out Helium Explorer to see the hotspot situation in your area / country.

So what do you think?

Does Helium have potential in your country?

Should we become device owners or just buy the HNT token?

Any thoughts, comment below!
