  • Lord’s

Lord’s Cricket Ground is located in London, United Kingdom that has a capacity of 28,000. The venue was named after its owner, Thomas Lord. 

However, this venue is already the third upon the first establishment. The original site is now Dorset Square, a garden square located in Marylebone, London. Many people regarded the place as Lord’s Old Ground today. 

Afterwards, he relocated where Regent’s Canal stands today. Thomas Lord operated Lord’s Middle Ground, its old name, from 1811 until 1813. 

  • MCG

Melbourne Cricket Ground, mostly known as MCG or The G, is located in Melbourne Australia with 96,000 seat capacity. It was built in 1853 and managed by Melbourne Cricket Club. 

Some of the teams playing here are Victoria, Melbourne Stars and Australia cricket teams. 

The stadium is considered as one of the largest stadiums in the world. Its redevelopment in 1992 for the southern stand cost around $150,000,000 while a total of $460,000,000 was spent for the 2006 northern stand redevelopment. 

Several international tournaments have been held here including 1956 Summer Olympics, 2006 Commonwealth Games and 1992 and 2015 Cricket World Cups. 

  • Eden Gardens

Many Test, ODI and T20I matches have been held here. This cricket ground is also known as one of the most beautiful venues across the globe. 

In 2019, the Western Province Cricket Association established a partnership with Sanlam for a new-office block development in the stadium. 

  • The Oval 

The Oval is also a cricket ground located in London, United Kingdom. It has a seating capacity of 23,500 and was built in 1845. 

The land is owned by Duchy of Cornwall and operated by Surrey County Cricket Club. 

Aside from cricket competitions, the venue was also used for football matches including the 1872, 1874 and 1892 FA Cup Final.
