When I first joined Publish0x, I was super excited. The community of authors and those who survey with the occasional contribution is amazing. After getting going, I was left with a question - What To Do With Publish0x Tips?
Where Else Can You Do This?
I'm sure there are other platforms and opportunities, I just don't know about them. At the moment, Publish0x is the go to platform for community driven, supported and grown content. Mostly crypto.
Currently there are 3 digital assets available;
- DAI stable coin
- BAT - Basic Attention Token
- LRC - Loopring
And with each one, there is a whole slough of opportunity to do something with, if you are looking to.
My Approach to Things
The one obvious option is to just hold everything as it comes in. It doesn't matter if you have a couple coins or dozens. You can just HODL to your hearts content and let the world grow in front of you.
Another option that could work well, that I particularly enjoy is to HODL two and and use 1. Between BAT and LRC, I believe the world is just beginning for both of them in many ways. I'll get to both of them in a moment.
Then there's the DAI stablecoin. I liken it to holding a bond during times of low interest. Steady, more secure and gives the ability to make choices.
With that being said, I see DAI as such a valuable springboard in any direction. If you are blessed to receive tokens each week from Publish0x then you have some options.
While you will spend a little ETH as fuel for moving your DAI or even the other two coins, it gives you the option to park it somewhere else where there may be some movement.
Personally, I see putting DAI in LRC as you can easily receive BAT from other places such as the Brave Browser especially if you publish, or have a blog.
That being said it seems a closer look at LRC might in order.
What is it about Loopring?
Loopring is project that I knew nothing about until a few months ago. According to CoinGecko;
According to CoinMarketCap
(Just an aside here... I don't know about you but I always find it helpful to look across both CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko and any number of others you find.)
I always see the differences, sometimes as subtle as they are incredibly informative.
According to Loopring;
Basically, LRC is focused on reducing gas needed on the ETH blockchain as well as increasing throughput. In my words it's moving transactions further, faster & in with more economical fees. It's really quite exciting.
The Short Version
So here's the deal. I can make it my short version.
- A wallet with an exchange function is great. Coinbase or Atomic Wallet are both excellent options and give an example of a centralized and decentralized function.
- HODL both BAT and LRC.
- Use DAI to boost your LRC or another altcoin that meets your criteria.
- Watch the show for the next 18 months. With a U.S. election coming up, different fiscal and monetary policies developing in what feels like real time, there is bound to be amazing movement.
I hope this is a helpful perspective. It may not be for you, but sometimes that's the value of another opinion. Seeing what works and model it. Or seeing what works and saying to yourself; "definitely not for me". Either way, mission accomplished!
