I have been blocked from answering people questions via the Comments. Must be a daily limit to stop serial commentators (know alls) like me hogging the airwaves. So instead of wasting my time and yours, I may as well put that effort into creating a BAT, Brave Rewards and Brave Browser - Common Misconceptions serial. Welcome to the first episode.
Sponsored Images revenue not being paid
The revenue is not collected with the Brave Rewards on the Brave Browser. It is paid at the end of the month .But if you have the UpHold account, you will notice there are separate cards/accounts for Brave (Browser), Brave Rewards and one for each verified channel (e.g. twitter, github, youtube).
I had BAT go into Brave and Brave Rewards. I am assuming the Sponsored Image revenue went into The Brave card/account because the amount sent was 23.60382007118352107 BAT. 70% of sweet F A is always going to be a small number. It was never meant to be a big source of revenue.
I am not getting Brave Rewards.
Go to settings. Check that Brave Rewards are turned on, Ads are turned on, and Auto-Contribute is turned off. If Auto-Contribute is on all the Brave Rewards with be automatically sent to verified publishers. Distributed according to the % attention you have given them. If you are happy with that then leave it on.
If the settings are correct then it could be the country you are domiciled in. Brave have broken the world in to 5 regional groups and have prioritised their world domination by working down the list. It is purely a business decision. We all want Brave to succeed financially so we can all benefit too.
New Zealand, Canada, France, Ireland, Germany, UK, Japan and Australia
Note New Zealand is in this Group 2, despite only having a population of 4.693 million people and 29 million sheep. This could be for a number of reasons. They have the All Blacks, a cool Prime Minister, invented the Pavlova, Sir Edmund Hilary was first to climb Mt Everest, amazing scenery, are a crypto friendly country..........
Austria, Belgium, Finland, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan.
Group 4 and 5
Too many countries to list.
Can't Sync my devices.
Unless you were lucky to get in early, this feature has been disable while they fix some fault. The advantage of syncing is you can manage the setting of all your devices from one device. It did not sync your wallets.
Auto-Contribute Bug issues.
Some of the more alert may have noticed my wallet has been disconnected. They have done that to prevent further withdrawals until they cab fix problem and refund the amount that was withdrawn. As you can see on the New Page tab I am still collecting Brave Rewards.
Not Rewarding the Loyal Users more interested in new Users.
Wasn't sure if was directed at Coinbase Earn or Brave.
As for Brave they have a User Growth Pool. Its purpose is to do exactly that and is used to sponsor Publish0x, Coinbase Earn and other programs. Eventually all that free BAT will be gone and by then we can only hope that Brave will have achieved world domination and be financially secure. So that we the early loyal users can also benefit from their success.
There is also a Development Pool but that is for developers.
About March 2019 Coinbase Earn was offering people $10US for watching short tutorial videos and downloading Brave Browser. At the time it was only a 2 week wait for an Australian resident to watch BAT and ZRX videos. The supply of Sponsored (free) BAT quickly ran out.
There was only a 2 day wait for the Zcash promotion in December 2018. By the time we got to the Stella and EOS promotions it was taking months to get the invite after joining the waitlist.
I did notice that my referrals tended to jump the queue with Coinbase Earn, but that was just an impression only and was not confirmed. But it makes sense from a commercial point of view, if you are just wanting new sign ups. So if the comment was directed at Coinbase Earn then yes that is true they will reward new users over loyal users.
Coinbase earn have recently got more Sponsored BAT from Brave and you can receive $US3 for watching 3 short tutorial videos and $US5 for downloading the Brave Browser. But it could be a very long wait after joining the waitlist before getting your invite.
Coinbase Earn was a good idea but the networking effect has unfortunately made it redundant. But it was what got my wife interested in Brave and BAT and was the subject of my first Publish0x post. Not my best effort but all we have to start somewhere.
This information has been gathered by DYOR.
Unfortunately we live an instant gratification world, some people want it handed to them on a plate. That is fine, that is the reality.
But it does open up people to being taking advantage of or just down right ripped off. Scams and Ponzi schemes flourish in this environment because people will accept anything that is presented to them, without question.
Beware of Publishers who have referral codes in their posts, their views have been bought and paid for. Please take care out there. And watch out for those Snake Oil Salesman peddling their wares.
