ALERT : Phishing Scam on Facebook

Lets play Spot The Clues in the Facebook post, that this is a Phishing Scam. Feel free to list them in the "Comments". The bad grammar is not due to my bad typing.

On February 12 I received the following suspicious Facebook notification from Myetherwallet Inc.

Great news, we have received more than 28.820 votes, its time we announce the winner. CONGRATULATIONS! You are one of the lucky users to get 8.04 Ethereum (ETH) and 1.420 Tether USD (USDT). Here you will get more tokens that are still waiting for you where we have raffled a lucky community.

I went to Myetherwallet Inc on Facebook and placed comments in all the posts that this was a poor attempt at a Phishing Scam that had been doing the rounds on various social media sites. Suggested they report them to Facebook and block them. Another clue is the real site is MyEtherWallet.com

As of writing it is still possible to view their Facebook page with all the posts they sent to various people. The comments no longer show.

Please take care out there, there is always some one who will try and take your money or your crypto. When you login into the fake MyEtherWallet, you do not win any ETH or USDT but they do steal all your ETH and any ERC20 token you might have deposited in your MyEtherWallet.
