Today I woke with heavy bones

Let free a sigh

I drew the blinds

Blinked and rubbed my eyes

I see the blanket of a heavy mist

It walks the hills and wraps the world.

The morning voices of birds, muffled.

They sat and sulked

Their wings encrusted in hefty dew
