The nodding crowds of daffodils

I cycle out into the morning

A pale spring sun upon my face

Familiar views appear like new

Dustings of frost fringe the world

The cold harsh air stalls my lungs

I feel the lethargy of winter

Clawing my legs like heavy bags

Ahead on the trail

Crowds of golden daffodils

Spectate and nod on gentle breezes

Inside my head they cheer me on
